For the past few days I have been working on practicing 8 different principles of design pattern, proportion, unity, balance, movement, emphasis, and variety. I then worked on the planning of a new artwork that uses some of these principles. My artwork that I plan on doing uses pattern, proportion, movement, and variety. I plan to make this cool swirling sculpture of popsicle stick that I found on line also the picture below. However my artwork is going to have a variety of colors. I am also planning on as the pattern of colors finish each time the size of the square will get smaller each set. While doing theses things I have been observing different principles of design and how they act in artworks. I have also been stretching and exploring different artwork and way that may help to make my plan successful. Here is a picture of the 7 different types of principles of designs I have been practicing and learning balance, pattern, proportion, unity, variety, emphasis, and movement.

This week we are working on architecture and designing homes. For this project I decided to do a miniature replica of my house. I started by taking time to draw and scale my house on a piece of paper. After that I measure and cut out my base of the house. I labeled each room as they are. I now am going to make the walls, windows, and doors. After that if I get time I am going to add either a roof or interior. While doing this I sketch and explored the structure of my house and and am going to engage and persist in finishing this building.
